Claude Code stays the agent you are typing to. fzf, via tmux, inserts a commit hash or a path into that prompt so you do not retype it. Nothing is committed.
The guide uses tmux key bindings because the shell bindings no longer see your keys once the agent prompt is focused. A floating pane needs tmux 3.7 or later. Older tmux uses a popup.
tmux-fzf-complete needs fzf 0.74.0 or later and Ruby. The guide shows set -g @plugin 'junegunn/tmux-fzf-complete', or run-shell of fzf-complete.tmux. fzf-git.sh is the git-object picker. Prefix Ctrl-T starts the file and screen picker. Prefix g reaches git objects.
